Dear Friends,
Over the last three years, we have been focused on implementing a
four-year strategic plan. Due to the ongoing attacks on reproductive
health care, our number one strategic priority is simple – Our Doors
Stay Open! We are pleased to report that this year, just like the past
two years, our doors stayed open for everyone who needed us.
We have continued to not only survive – but to thrive – as an
essential resource for communities throughout the Central Coast.
In fiscal year 2018/2019, we provided care to 31,057 patients through
58,870 visits. We are proud to be the primary provider for abortion
throughout our region.
In June, PPCCC began providing gender affirming care. This new service
fills a critical need for transgender patients who face numerous barriers
to accessing the care they need.
We continued to work tirelessly to address the rise in STIs (sexually
transmitted infections), both locally and throughout the state of
California. This year, we diagnosed 2,387 cases of STI’s, a staggering
18% increase from just two years ago. We also launched a marketing
campaign – The Only Way to Know, Is to Know – to highlight the
importance of getting tested.
We are honored to be the most trusted provider of reproductive health
care – we couldn’t do it without you!
